The Geothermal Emissions COntrol (GECO) Horizon 2020 project (https://geco-h2020.eu/) is organizing a Summer School in Volterra, Italy, May 17th-21st. Attendance is limited to 50 persons. Participants from UNIFI (PhD students) are encouraged to participate as we are project partners and UNIFI-DIEF has thus full title to participate.
This is a pre-advice (limited places available - reservation is open) - the detailed program will be defined soon.
The Summer School will address the project topics, mainly dealing with reinjection of non-cvondensable gases and pollutants into the ground reservoir (zero-emission geothermal plants), covering several aspects from geological to power plant and reinjection equipment, as well as Life Cycle Analysis, Cost-Benefit and overall system improvement.
Recognition of teaching credits is possible (free-choice amount, following current standards).
