The course provides fundamentals of water waves mechanics, coastal hydro- and morpho- dynamics and coastal management. Design principles of coastal protection structures are introduced.
Verification of learning
Single oral exam: The student will be called to answer some questions about the contents of the course. Optional: a multiple-choice test can be done halfway through the course to assess knowledge of maritime hydraulics. Students who score at least 18 out of 30 on the test will be exempt from questions on maritime hydraulics during the final oral exam.
