The course "Statics and Stability of Masonry Structures" is a vital component of the Restoration Laboratory program, focusing on the conservation of architectural heritage using traditional masonry structures. This 6-credit module is structured to provide students with essential theoretical knowledge and technical skills needed for designing and preserving these structures. It highlights the ability to pinpoint and resolve specific architectural, constructional, structural, and consolidation challenges associated with masonry buildings. The course also delivers insights into structural behaviour, including seismic activity considerations and challenges related to historical urban centres, equipping students to conduct structural verifications and design effective reinforcement interventions.
