
The understanding of conflict as a constitutive element of social relations and a source of innovation and change has a significant tradition in urban policy analysis and spatial planning. The course: provides students with the necessary tools to understand territorial conflicts from both theoretical and practical perspectives, exploring conflict dynamics and their treatment in spatial planning; equips students with the skills to interpret conflicts from the urban studies’ perspective and frame their different definitions within planning theories; provides students with analytical tools to assess territorial conflicts and guides them in understanding the possible approaches for addressing these conflicts.
