Static and Stability of Masonry Structures is a core module of the Master’s programme in Architecture, focusing on the structural behaviour, diagnosis, and conservation of masonry and monumental buildings. The course provides theoretical and practical tools to understand historic structures, their deterioration, and compatible consolidation strategies, with attention to static behaviour, seismic response, and traditional construction techniques. Lectures, exercises, and case studies lead to a group-based structural consolidation project. Attendance is mandatory, and final assessment is based on project work and acquired knowledge.
