Demography is the most important external factor that will shape the future of the tourism. The first part of the course is devoted to the study of basic demographic tools. The second part of the course will explore demographic trends and their implication in a variety of tourism contexts, addressing issues such as: consequences of population aging for the tourism industry; Generation Y in the context of Travel Futures; volunteer tourism and global citizenship; family change and family tourism.
