The course introduces an interdisciplinary approach that combines methods of cognitive psychology, psychophysics and neuroscience with experimental economics and game theory to provide an exhaustive description of individual decision-making. The aim of the course is to illustrate how the study of decision making processes, and more generally the functioning of the mind, can help understand the dynamics of individual economic choices. The course also has the objective of transmitting to the student a general knowledge of the most research techniques in the field of psychophysics, decision psychology and experimental economics.
