This course explores some core fields of the law of contracts and of tortious liability by adopting a comparative perspective. The common thread is represented by the need of rethinking the role played by private law today in the so-called "technological era" and in detecting the effectiveness and fairness of civil remedies, especially in cases of power imbalances in contractual relations and of civil wrongs implying the violation of fundamental rights, with a focus on the current situation.
