The course introduces
an interdisciplinary approach that combines methods of cognitive psychology,
psychophysics and neuroscience with experimental economics and game
theory to provide an exhaustive description of individual
decision-making. The aim of the course is to illustrate how the study of
decision-making processes, and more generally the functioning of the
mind, can help understand the dynamics of individual economic
choices. The course also has the objective of transmitting to the student
a general knowledge of the most advanced research techniques in the
field of psychophysics, decision psychology and experimental economics.
