The course aims to provide a basic introduction to international human rights, their conceptual and historical foundations, as well as the main international legal instruments and institutions aimed at protecting and promoting human rights worldwide.
The course is divided into two parts. The first part of the course aims to introduce the legal, philosophical, and historical foundations of human rights, the main international human rights legal instruments and institutions.
In Part II, starting from civil and political rights, the thematic focus will then shift to economic, social and cultural rights, and third generation human rights, namely environmental rights.
